Hello. I am fairly new at brewing... I've made about 7-8 batches...this will be my second time adding sugar after the primary fermentation process. I got an English Brown Ale.

My air lock just stopped bubbling today. I was told I can add about another 1lb of sugar (5 gallon batch) after fermentation stops. Do I just dump it in and leave it?, or do I need to mix it up and add more yeast? mix it and NOT add more yeast??

do I need to boil it first, let it cool, then dump it in? mix? add yeast?

boil the sugar in water, let it cool, then dump it in. i did exactly that today with some brown sugar into cider
