Island Mist Wine Kit Yeast

I got a cranberry Malbec island mist kit today for half off. My LHBS said it expires this December so it was marked down half off and I only paid $35 for it. The owner told me the yeast might not be good so he gave me a fresh pack of Lalvin 1118. When I opened the kit at home I noticed the yeast pack in the kit was actually a premier cuvée. Is it ok to use the ec1118 in place of it ? Or should I use the cuvée pack it came with ? Or purchase a new pack of premier cuvée before starting this kit ?

With the amount of additional flavorings added to mist kits, I doubt that the subtle changes that a yeast makes will ever come through.
