OK, here is a new idea. I will start a 5 gallon recipe with an ingredient. The style will remain un-named. The next person adds something to it. Based on that the next person will ad something towards the end of making a particular brew. We will begin with grain. Once somebody moves to hops the grain is done. Once somebody moves to yeast the hops are done. Yeast is followed by mash temp, that is followed by fermentation temp. When this is done we start on the next recipe. The first poster of each recipe should note its number (recipe 1...)

I think the good pastor might have started us down a path for 10 gallon batches. Pastor: when was the last time you brewed a 5 gallon batch, anyway?

EDIT: Hop additions should specify AA% and IBUs rather than an amount, which is completely arbitrary.

BOO! too soon for yeast! we need way more than 2.25 oz of hops with this grain bill!

not only too soon, but this just turned into a lager (WLP830 = German Lager Yeast) and that will exclude a lot of people.

not that I was actually considering brewing this Schizophrenicbrau.... I'm just saying....

EDIT: I'll check out the next one... hopefully it'll be more under control and will start with something like... oh.... 8 or 9 lbs of base-grain instead of THIRTEEN. ;)

Please specify how long in the boil, olllllo...I don't want my numbers to be thrown off if I assume 60' but you want them at flame out.
