Hey guys,

So I just moved, and decided to do a new brew. Everything went fine, except it took a lot longer to bring to a boil then normal, and basically the extra 2.5gal of water i had in the freezer almost froze. I cooled my wort, and then mixed everything the way i normally do, and now my wort is at about 60degrees. I usually pitch at about 75-80, so is that too cold to pitch my yeast? or does it not matter but it will take a bit longer for fermentation to start?

Thanks ahead of time

Edit: More info:
Figured this couldn't hurt. I'm making a 'Golden Ale' and am using dried yeast (US-05)

Nah, it's fine. It might take a little longer to start, but lots of people pitch slightly colder and let it warm up on it's own.

Keeping it on the cooler side for that yeast, 65-68F if you can, will give you a nice clean fermentation.
