I need help...IMMEDIATELY!
So yesterday (Sunday) I activated some Wyeast slap-pack type yeast around noon, intending to brew in a few hours. Well time went by, and realized that it was getting too late to start brewing (plus I'd rather concentrate on more important things like the Giants game). It sat out for 3-5 hours, until I returned it to the fridge.
I haven't opened the outer package, is this yeast still good? Could I use it in my batch tomorrow (Tuesday) or will it be dormant?
What is the longest you can use the yeast after it has been "activated"? This was going to be my first time using liquid yeast and it feels like a shame to waste that $6.
