So, I have a nice new immersion heater that I use to supplement the heat from my range when brewing. With this added immersion heater I have been able to step up to full 5 gallon (actually 6 gallon) boils.

My question is: how hard of a boil do I want for my extract brews? I can keep a slight rolling boil or I can make it dance and party like it is 1999.. :ban:.

What strength of boil is recommended?

i interpret that as "let 'er rip" and keep an eye on it.

Boil over is not a concern... I have a 10 gallon pot for a starting volume of 6 gallons.

On behalf of the me from sixty seconds ago, I would like to apologize for the immature "That's what she said" response. It had to be done. But I should have thought better about it and let someone else say it. Mistakes were made and I apologize if anyone was offended. It's not like it was that big anyway.
