Has anybody ever tried using an Inline Immersion heating coil to maintain mash temperature in their all grain set up? It's something I want to try but wanted to see if anybody had successfully (or not) tried it before I invest the time and money.
The way I pictured it would be some sort of piece I attach to the outlet of my mash tun with a thermowell and temperature controller that would cycle the heating element on and off to my desired temperature during wort recirculation for the duration of the mash. Similair to the way a controller would turn on and off a burner.
I was looking at some immersion heating elements that have threads from Mcmaster-Carr.
