Gelatin in Secondary AND Cornie?

Would it be overkill to add gelatin when racking to the secondary.... give it a few weeks, and then add gelatin a second time just after cold crashing but just before racking to the cornie? I've got a cream ale in the primary, and I want to see how down right perfectly clear I can make it....
 
I think it would be. I've used it before but was quite some time ago, really just to see what it does. A couple things I just came across was that the beer needs to be matured. If the yeast is still active it is less likely to work. Next is that it should be added a day or two before.

It wasn't a lot of info but it was something.
