So I was going to bottle my oatmeal stout today, and the specific gravity of my brew was 1.020 after 14 days in the primary!! OG was 1.062. I racked to secondary instead of bottling and will see if it ferments any more.
Is this normal when using Wyeast 1084? I made a 1 liter starter 24 hours in advance and there was activity right at 24 hours. It was in my garage the entire time at about 60-68 degrees.
Tasted just fine BTW...
Grain bill below:
Amount Item Type % or IBU
6.00 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 48.00 %
3.00 lb Munich Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) Grain 24.00 %
1.25 lb Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) Grain 10.00 %
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) Grain 8.00 %
1.00 lb Oats, Flaked (1.0 SRM) Grain 8.00 %
0.25 lb Roasted Barley (300.0 SRM) Grain 2.00 %
1.50 oz Williamette [5.50 %] (60 min) Hops 24.2 IBU
1.00 oz Williamette [5.50 %] (30 min) Hops 12.4 IBU

Thanks!!
