Anyone here have or know here I can find a clone recipe for Heilman's Special Export?

I told you it was an oddball request! lol

It's probably not great beer compared to a typical homebrew, but you can't buy it down here and I know someone who really likes it.

It would help if I could find a recipe. Thanks!

Just do a cream ale. Youll never notice a difference.

I have a great recipe for one. Mess with the hops a little to get the IBU's down to about 25. I like mine hoppier so I went a little higher with this. I also substituted Amarillo for bittering and Cascades for the other additions.

Ahh... this sounds like an excellent idea.

Since I can't do all grain yet, could I substitute extra light DME for the 2 row?

And then do a mini mash with the Flaked Corn, Munich Malt, and Vienna Malt?

Or would some 2 row need to be in the mini mash too? If I had to add a couple of pounds of 2 row to the mini mash, that would be a heck of mini mash, but I bet I could do it.

The Vienna and Munich can convert themselves, but you'll need at least a pound of base to convert the corn. Maybe cut the corn to 1 pound & use a pound of 2-row. 2 lbs is a lot of corn.
