What do you guys use for storing yeast? I was thinking it would be handy to have a bunch of vials for harvested yeast but I'm not sure where to get them. and I don't use or have access to White labs yeast so I can't simply save them up. Do craft stores have these things because my LHBS doesn't?

I suppose I could ask a crack dealer;) . They always seem to have lots.

I use Classico Pesto sauce jars and in a pinch regular Ball jars. I like the fact that they can be boiled and all the lids are the same plus you can buy new lids when needed.

Others have reported good success with baby food jars.

I have over 30 vials and about 30 baby food jars...:D

I also made this rack from a 2x4 (or a 4X2 for you guys from Down Under). I used a 1 1/8" blade bit on a bench press drill for the main cut, but a White Labs labels increase the size so I re-drilled (free hand) to open it up a little more and it works like a charm:

Here's something nobody mentioned vitamin jars.
The white ones are usually #2 HDPE and the brown ones are usually #1 PETE
both should work well in the fridge and the freezer.
