Are there any reasons I may not want to use brass fittings for the internal parts to my counter flow chiller?

I should mention that I have a few brass fittings in my rig but they have all been "pickled" and are in equipment used before the boil - and those parts are on the short list to being replaced with stainless. There is probably little actual harm in using brass, but I'd prefer not to find out...

Plenty of us use brass fittings, and have not pickled it.

It really depends on how long the wort is in contact with the brass. In my setup, its not something I'm worried about.
