Wort Chiller Adapter for sink sprayer

Has anyone connected a wort chiller to a sink with only a sprayer attachment. When I unscrew the sprayer the female adapter looks to be about 5/8 inside diameter. Thinking I might be out of luck. Maybe run a garden hose inside.

Also, is stainless steel or copper preferred for a wort chiller?
 
Sorry, copper is a better heat exchanger then stainless, just plop it in the boil for the last 10 minutes to sanitize it
 
I don't think a sprayer / WC will work.. Least, that's what I've read in a couple of catalogs... no personal experience. Can you bring it into a bathroom to do the cooling. Thus avoiding the sprayer only sink? Or simply run a hose thru a window from an outside source?
