Mash tun: PVC manifold???

Was watching Chris Knight's YouTube videos and I saw where he had made a small PVC manifold for his Mash Tun. Seems like a project suited for my engineering skills but wanted your input.

Will PVC work? Is there a benefit to using copper?

Can't use PVC, but people do use C-PVC. The latter can withstand mash temperatures; the former cannot.

Cpvc will work fine, I use it and routinely get 75% efficiency.

Same here CPVC 83% effciency is standard.
