Hello
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what PSIG I need to run a hurricane burner. I purchased one and hooked up my old regulator to it and I am getting nothing but black smoke and flame flare ups. is there a special regulator that I need?
My regulator says 10 psig on it

Any help would be great thanks

yes i see that and i sent them an email but have not heard back from them yet
Just thought someone else might have had the same issue

thanks

Black smoke = rich, not enough air.
Cause = Not enough air opening or not enough velocity of gas through the gas orfice. Make sure your pot has enough clearance above the flame too as to little clearence causes the flame to burn rich. A call to your burner supplier should get you some answers too.
