I am brewing a 5 gal English Bitter by Coopers homebrew as my first batch. My OG was 1.032. I looked all over the instructions and no original gravity is given to make sure I'm on track. Does anyone know if this is a reasonable OG?

Is it an ordinary bitter, a special bitter or an ESB?

My ordinary bitter has an OG of 1.035.

Style guidelines state an OG of 1.032-1.040 for an ordinary bitter.

My EB (cooper's international series) had an OG of 1.038. You're ok. Maybe just didn't mix chilled wort & top off enough? I thought the same about mine at that point. Wasn't used to lower gravity ales. But the color/flavor was pretty darn good.
