Here's the thing. My husband and I have decided to call my brewery Worry Wort Brewing for good reason.

I was a little worked up with my brewing again, but this time I did something new: I misread my OG reading in the wrong direction. I thought I read 1.036, so I started boiling some DME to add to my wort. While the DME was boiling, I reread the hydrometer. It actually read 1.046... right where I wanted it! :cross:

So what can I do with the boiled DME? Besides dump it down the drain. I'll be brewing again in a few weeks. Can I refrigerate or freeze this until then? It's no big deal I suppose, but I hate to waste the good stuff!

Great name!

I would go ahead and freeze it. Before using for a starter, boil again briefly and then cool. If using in a batch, no need to reboil since it'll boil with the wort.
