When measuring efficiency should I use the pre-boil gravity or the post boil gravity?

I would assume its the post-boil because the hydrometer reading correction would be crazy right???
 
I do my efficiency pre-boil. You have to draw a sample and cool it. I do this while the wort is boiling then I can figure out how much DME I might have to add, or how much I want to boil off.
