Hello from the SF East Bay, CA

Hey all,

The name is Chris and I'm from Antioch, CA (in the San Fran east bay.) I'm new to home brewing (actually haven't even started yet, I'm still waiting for my starter kit to come in the mail) and am looking forward to a new hobby. Although I've always been a beer fanatic, I've never really taken a stab at making my own (other than a short try with a mr. beer kit in college) and have already learned a TON from this site. I'm already quite the 'forums nerd' with a Subaru forum, some firearms forums, Apple/Mac forums etc., so you'll likely see plenty of me here as well.

It's a bit of a drive, but Oak Barrel Winecraft in Bezerkly is worth checking out. It's much better than the website & they really know brewing there. There is almost always some homebrew on tap (something I miss in Oregon, it's illegal).

Yeah, a buddy of mine that went to Cal told me about that place. My job (wine & spirits sales/distro) takes me to several accounts off of Telegraph, so I'll I have to check it out next time I'm down that way. Thanks for the input.
