Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic not good this year?

All - I have been a fan of Sam Adams' Cranberry Lambic for the last couple of years. I got my hands on some this year and it tastes like a really bad fruit wheat beer...with no sourness at all. Anyone get any of this and agree with my palette?

I can't honestly say I have ever tried it, but I don't think it is not very highly thought of.

I wasn't even aware SA made a lambic. I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

I haven't tried it, but it catches a bad rap from alot of people.

From what I understand it is more akin to a fruit beer than an actual lambic.

I think it was more of an attempt to simulate the style. They didn't actually use an open fermentation for this. Honestly not sure what yeast strain they used.

I've never been much of a fan of it. It's not even close to being an actual lambic, but even discounting that, it's not good.
