Are there any places on the net to get kegging systems that people have had good experiences with:mug: , im always a bit weary of buying off of the net. My LHBS has a single keg system with everything new, a two gauge regulator and a 5lb CO2 cylinder, for $249. Not too bad, but I was actually hoping to get a larger CO2 cylinder, maybe 10lb. Shipping usually costs around $25.

Also how long does a 5lb cylinder of CO2 last? Ive read 4-5 batches but most people I have talked to said much more.
Thanks.

I bought my kegging system from my LHBS for about 70 bucks less.

I would buy the CO2 tank from ebay like Brewiz recommended and look into a kegging system from Austin Homebrew or Northern Brewer:

click on Homebrew Kegging Outfit (119.99)

options on new or used kegs.

I have used kegs and have had no problems.

** Edit **

As for the CO2, a friend bought his 5 pound CO2 about a year ago and has yet to fill it. I have yet to fill mine as well, but I've only had it a few months.

** Second Edit **

I've heard people having positive results purchasing from this guy on ebay:

if you're worried about co2, you can always prime with corn sugar rather than force carbonating, and only using co2 to dispense. but co2 is cheap to swap at a welding supply shop.

also, look on craigslist. you would be amazed at the kind of deals you can score.
