Off-center burner/heat source?

Do people who build their own propane burner assemblies (i.e. the frame), or even pro brewing systems ever intentionally mount the burner/heat source off-center? I think I read it somewhere (want to say Noonan) that having it off-center, which causes the boil to occur on one side of the kettle and sort of roll-over to the opposite side, is a good thing because it gets all the break material churning up better (better contact). It's probably a very minor detail, I usually get that effect (off-center heat source) simply from wind but was just curious.

The kettle burner on the B3 20 gallon system is mounted off center. Not sure if that was design intent or not.
