I just completed my first ever 10 gallon batch. It was a Red IPA. I mashed 26.5 pounds of malt in my 52 quart Coleman Extreme cooler MLT. I don't think I could have fit another pound in there. My MLT was full to the top. Problem is though, I only have an 8 gal boil kettle so I had to do two boils which took an extra 2 hours or so to complete. I hit my expected OG of 1.074 on both boils so I'm happy there but I'm especially happy to see two full fermenters bubbling away at the same time. I feel like a proud new father of twins. I just had to share. Whew, what a brewday!
