Anyone know a recipe that comes close?
For those that don't know it this beer is brewed to a close approximation of one from Jacobean times, in the Borders of Scotland. It's about 8.4 ABV, and very dard and treakley (molasses like) although it's not like guiness, more like 80 that's had half the water boiled off and twice he alcohol added.
It is damn fine! and I want my own private supply!
