original Stars & Stripes above 50 taps at the DelMarVa's Southern Café and Taphouse in Sterling, VA. Just opened a couple weeks ago

beer was good (DFH 90-minute & Bell's Two Hearted), food was horrible.

they make you order and pay for your food first, like a Golden Corral, then self-serve soft drinks, sit anywhere you like and they'll bring you your food. wait for a server for beer or mixed drink order.

I ordered Tenderjack's Tenders (fried chicken tenderloins) with fries. can't say they were under-cooked, but you can always tell when the oil isn't hot enough, because they're all greasy and the breading just slides off. fries were not crisp at all, just soggy with grease.

so, we're eating our meal and another server brings us... our dinner? wtf?

I complained about the food, the manager bought me a beer and gave us the owner's card and said, "next time, dinner is on us"

so, we'll be back. for the ribeye

seems DelMarVa hasn't been rendering unto Cæser or the Commonwealth
$66k in back taxes, looks like they're gone for good
