I had an idea, which is being tested at the moment. Italian restaurants go through a lot of Pellegrino sparkling water. These bottles take a beer cap, hold approx. 17 oz. and are green in color. They have an elegant somewhere between beer and wine appearance. I'm gonna bottle my next batch in them. Has anyone tried these bottles?

I would just try a dry run with the caps before putting cider into them. My capper has some issues with some european style bottles. It doesn't mind Peroni bottles, but I can't cap Stella bottles. It has to do with the neck right below the crown.

I did a dry run and now I have one bottle in the fridge with cider for a week. Seems to be holding pressure fine. I also have Ferrarelle bottles.
