Q Continuum
I have a stout going with 1099 Whitbread from Wyeast, and was thinking of washing a sample of the yeast cake and making a starter for the red ale I'm going to be working on next. In looking at the Wyeast page, Whitbread is not among the recommended Red Ale yeasts. However, from everything I know about Red Ales, Whitbread would seemingly make a fine Red -- although I could be missing some crucial tid-bit.

Thoughts?
