I'm in Minnesota and the forecast says possible frost tomorrow night. Unfortunately, I have some first year Cascades that don't seem ripe yet (crushed cone feels slightly papery but still has grassy smell). Is it better to leave them to ripen for another week or pluck them before the potential frost? Thanks for any help.

Little late for your frost concerns but I live just west of minneapolis and I harvested last week...crack a flower open and check for yellow sticky hop oil. I've found its better/ easier to pick them before they start to get drier and open up. A pic would be great..I can help you decide.
