ok, this is neat.

Toronto's got one big ole water supply and a new shop in town has water adjustment kits specific to toronto's water supply. they only have a few styles so far, but this looks like it would be the easiest way to start water adjustments. http://www.noblehop.com/collections/water-chemistry-kits

obviously this is not something that the big online sellers would be able to pull off easily.
