Greetings!

My wife and I recently began home brewing after I lost my last job in a restaurant. We figured it would be fun, we can brew what we want to drink and we'll save a lot of money by not going to the hop leaf four times a week!

We've made two beers so far - the first was from a brewer's best IPA kit (delicious) and the second was a coffee-vanilla milk stout which was based on the brewer's best milk stout kit with some alterations done courtesy of Brew Camp (Brew Camp | Chicago's Local Home Brew Shop).

Next up: a black imperial IPA.

Glad to be here, glad there are so many good answers to tough questions to be had!!!

Oh, and I got a new job...so don't feel bad for me!

I am going to be in your town in the next month, going to GI and three floyds

and ya.. how has all the zoombie dust..

welcome to the board

Evening. Another Chicago noob here. A new branch of Brew & Grow opened a few months ago in the West Loop neighborhood, which was the final straw to get me to start brewing. (Shameful, as I've been meaning to give it a go for years.)
