Blowoff help

So the batch I brewed friday night seems to need a blowoff tube today as it is very close to the airlock and still very active. Problem is, when i woke up this morning, the water in my building is turned off for some reason

What can I do with no water? I have some distilled water in the fridge for drinking, but its less than a gallon. Ideas?

Providing the outlet of the blow off tube is lower than the top of the beer, you don't need to submerge it in water. See Louis Pasteur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Germ theory). The positive pressure caused by the CO2 will ensure that nothing travels up the tube.

Thanks! I actually scaled down the quantities and made 1/2 gallon of starsan since that's all i needed with the distilled water. Just in time too, within an hour, there was krauzen in the starsan!
