Getting ready to make my first fruit mead. I have 5 gals that have been fermenting for a week and in a few days I plan to divide and rack onto fruit.
I know fruits like blackberries and cherries should be frozen and thawed prior to adding, but what about apples and oranges? Seems like I remember reading somewhere that citrus and apples should not be frozen. If so, should I just cut them up and add straight to the mead?
