The two batches I've done, I haven't bothered with removing the hops from the wort (or leaving them behind in the pot). I've just dumped the contents of the kettle into the fermenter. Lately, though, I've been seeing references here and there regarding taking the hops out prior to primary.

So...does anyone really do this? I've been very happy with my brews thus far, so unless there is a clear advantage I'm not fixin' what aint broke.

I run it through a kitchen strainer going from the kettle to the primary. Never really thought of not doing it. It's just the way I was shown.

i posted this question earlier this week, from the responses i got it doesn't seem to matter or have an ill effect on the final product.
