Does anyone know the temp. rating of solid gum rubber stoppers --> link

I added a small one to my Mash-tun to hold the false bottom in place (stopper connected to my dip-tube) and want to make sure that it can handle 170F heat without giving off rubbery off-flavors.

That is fine, they hold my thu the wall thermometers in my HLT and MLT... that is fine.

I clean mine by boiling...how much hotter can you get it? ;)

250F.

I put my stoppers in a pressure canner when sterilizing for yeast culturing purposes, and they do not seem to suffer. No cracking, stiffness, or difference of any kind that I can tell.
