So SWMBO loves a good belgian wit, but also likes the dark fruit and roastyness in darker beers, and I was wondering if a Dunkle modified to be more like a dark wit would be good, I was thinking something along these lines:
5.5 gallon:
1.75# Pale malt (Bel)
6# Wheat Malt (US)
2.5# Munich 10L
0.4# Special B
0.4# Crystal 40L
0.125# Carafa
1oz Saaz@ 60 mins
0.5oz Styrian Goldings@ 60 mins
0.5oz Saaz@ 20 mins
0.5oz Styrian Goldings@ 5 mins
0.5oz Saaz@ 5 mins
1oz bitter orange peel@ 5min
.25oz corrander@ 5min
Fermented with WLP400 or 410 (depending on availability)
What do you all think? any thoughts are helpful
