Silly idea floating in my head, and need some suggestions please.

What are some of the recommendations you guys/gals have for a small pump that will take water from one side and pass it through the other?
We are talking very small scale, low power, even battery power.
Not a wort chiller size or capacity.

Thanks!

don't know about battery power, but I use a couple of pond pumps to recirculate water in my pre-chiller, my fermentation chamber, my cleaning system, etc.
$20 - Lowes. Outdoor Ponds section. Submersible. Larger sizes available...

They have pumps at Harbor Frieght as well for $13 after the 20% coupon. Not sure if you live near one though. 258 GPH works well for a water chiller for the IC or CFC.

What does the GPH stand for?
And will these simple pumps get water up to around 3 feet high?

Gallons Per Hour. A pump with that output should be able to get 3 feet of headspace. I think the max might be around 5 feet according to a chart I saw.

GPH is gallons per hour. The 3 feet high question you are asking about is called head space I think. So you can look for what the pump is rated at for that.
