Of course I know that almost no type of beer tastes its best straight from the fridge, but it's summer and it's been so hot...

Anyway, I pulled an APA out to warm up for a couple minutes last night. My folks called, they were unusally chatty, and close to 1/2 hour later, I went back to pour the beer.

It was a great reminder of how much better that particular beer tastes at the "correct" temp--in this case, probably about 50 F or maybe a little above that.

Sometimes when I'm at a brewpub, I'll order two pints, maybe an APA to drink and a Porter to warm up a bit.

Most beer I drink is around 60deg. Sometimes I'll stick it in the freezer for 10min and drop it a few points.

It's a real bummer going to a bar and drinking cold beer. Tastes watery!

There is a bar here that makes their own beer. Light and dark, and they serve the dark at around room temp. So nice! It is also such a good porter
