Ended up with well over 6 gallons. That + a vigorous fermentation (not what I expected from washed WLP005 British Ale) gives you this. Switched from jar to bucket when I found it this way.

I overshot my postboil vols before (this is why I subsequently made a "dipstick" for each of my kettles out of CPV with markings for 5, 5.5 and 6 gals.), and I ended up with lighter "session" batches.
