Hello,

Been lurking here for a long time and figured it was time to at least say hello and thank you for the awesome reference material. I am getting ready to bottle my first beer today, an English Porter. I cannot thank you guys enough for all the advice I have read.

Welcome! I am not far from you in Chula Vista. I am dry hopping a Pliny Clone right now, getting ready to keg it up next weekend.

Caca: thanks for the welcome

Shepherd: thanks for the welcome and hope your Pliny comes out well.

I did bottle my porter, it was an extract recipe from the Ballast point guys. I left it in primary for 2 weeks and then added some Vanilla beans and let it sit for 2 more weeks. The hydro sample tasted awesome. Now for the waiting for the carbing process. I am brewing another batch of this porter right now, it is nice and simple and gives me time to work on my process.

This hobby is addicting, but at least my SWMBO encourages it.

Good brewing prayers to all.
