Cooked over Mesquite for 30 minutes @ 550-600. This was first run with the new (bottom) grate for the BGE and let the fire breath really well. I noticed the temps recovered and maintained better after opening the lid to flip/baste etc..

This looks amazing. I live in an apartment so i cant have an actual grill and am forced to use a "Cuisianart Griddler" on my counter but man i love some tri tip.
 
I didn't realize anyone outside of Fresno or Santa Maria even new what tri tip was ;)
