So I recently picked up the ingredients for a blueberry ale extract w/ specialty grains recipe. its all fairly standard, but i'm a little curious about one thing. i was given two little bottles of blueberry flavoring... a blueberry smelling clear liquid. it says on the bottle for beer/wine. i'd kinda rather use fresh or at least frozen blueberries, does anyone have any input on this?

thanks
Mike

It all depends on what you are looking for, a combination of the extract with berries if you want a sweetish yet well rounded Berry flavor. Berries alone will give more of a tart fruit flavor without the sweet.
