So I don't have a mill yet and if I buy a 55 lb bag of grain I get it about half the price if I buy it by the lb so I keep it in 5 gal plastic buckets after it's milled it probably won't be there for more than a month at a time but has anybody done this is it ok?

As long as it is stored in a cool dark place you should be fine. It will keep all winter outside there in anchorage, well at least until the moose discover it.

As long as it stays dry and in a cool place you're fine. I've used milled grains that were 2+ months old before. When you're getting ready to use them take a good whiff and taste the grains, you'll know.

Awesome, thanks guys. It is very cold and very dry where I keep it so I wont worry. :mug:
