i'm going to be brewing a pale ale of some sort later on today, and i would like some input on a hop schedule. i have the following that i'm clearing out of the freezer:

1 oz whole leaf williamette
.5 oz pellet chinook

on top of that i have two unopened ounces of simcoe pellets that i will most likely use.

i'm trying to decide what to use for bittering, and where i will get the best utilization out of the williamette, being whole leaf. i'm more focused on hop flavor than bitterness, so i plan on doing additions at FW, 20, 15, 5, FO.

grain bill is
10# 2row
.75# crystal 40
1# biscuit

My two cents: FW with the chinook, use 0.5 oz simcoe for your other additions, use the Wilamette for something else.

If you're dead set on using the Wilamette, use 0.5 each at 5 and FO, and save an ounce of simcoe.
