Hello ALL!
I'm new here, so Im starting right off with a question. I've been brewing (full grain) for about a year now, and have yet to make a Pumpkin Ale. So, last Sunday I brewed one up (using pie pumpkins in the boil,) and it went just fine; However, my question is, I want to add more pumpkin (and spices) to the secondary, and I was wondering, is baking the pumpkin enough to kill the wild yeast on it? Or should I boil it as well before I add it to the secondary? Adding fruit and such is something that I just recently started experimenting with, so any info will help....... Slán
