Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had a method of modifying a standard faucet to make it work like a stout faucet under high pressure nitrogen systems?

i know the front of my tap unscrews (standard micromatic tap) and that a restrictor plate of sorts is needed for a nitro tap... sooo, could a small Quarter sized metal piece with holes punched (or a small drain screen?) be placed in there to act the way a nitro tap does?

has anyone tried this? or had any successful other methods of dispensing a stout without buying the $100+ faucet?

Well, the cheap ones are about 80-90. However, if you look on ebay you could probably get ones for $50. I got one new faucet with the new style Guinness tap handle for $50, and a used one with the same handle also for $50, but it came with a Guinness coupler.

I don't know if a regular one could be modified. I doubt it.
