CO2 tank wont open

Hi all

I just bought a new CO2 tank and regulator. This is my first experience with kegging and I was psyched. I thought I put everything together ok, but I cant seem to get the CO2 tank knob to turn on. It wont budge. I hope that I am just doing something stupid, but not sure if anyone can help. I wont be able to get to the homebrew store until Saturday and would like to get this resolved asap if possible. Any thoughts would be great.

Counter-clockwise opens the tank valve... It should be marked on the knob which way to turn it to open it.

Yeah, it won't open either way. It seems to be jammed

Don't mess with it. I wouldn't want you breaking off the stem and blowing yourself up with the release of the CO2. Return it and let whomever sold it to you deal with the problem.

A stuck valve on a non pressurized situation would be a different matter.

I had a stuck valve on mine. They fixed it when I had it water tested.
