Hey Everybody,
New poster here but fairly advanced brewer (except in the water chemistry arena!) I adjust my mash PH using lactic acid, but now I'm going for water flavor adjustments.
My water profile gives me the following:
Na (Sodium) = 6.8ppm
Cl (Chloride) = 3.4ppm
So4 (Sulfate) = 6.8
Total Hardness (Alkalinity as CacO3) = 84
My question is this: with no Ca or Mg in the report, and only total hardness, how can I fine tune my water? Brewing water calculators all seem to want Ca and Mg or "Ca Hardness" (so you can calculate Mg from that.)
I can get somewhat close I think, but I still never know if I'm totally off on Ca/Mg!
Thanks in Advance!
