Now my head is hurting.

What the formula for effieciency?

Say I know that the predicted SG is 1050 @ 70% effieciency on 30l run off.

I have 1045. How do I work out my effieciency?

It would be your 1045 divided by the predicted gravity, before your efficiency correction.

.0714 * y = .045

But you efficiency looks different than mine. I may be over simplifying it.

=((Gravity_per_lb_per_gallon-1)*LBS_added/Gallons)*Estimated_Efficiency

.0714 * y = .045

45/50*70

0.9*70

63%

Is that what you mean?

Not sure how that relates to .0714 * y = .045

Thats 100% efficiency. Most of the stuff I've found on different malts and grains gives you the gravity at 100% then you reduce it.
