Anyone in the Seattle area, come out to West Seattle for Summerfest. They are debuting this weekend, a beer that I collaborated on with Elliott Bay brewer, Dan Ashley. Here are the details from Elliott Bay's blog

The brewers in West Seattle mashing-in the Anniversary Beer #12, a Double Pilsner recipe brewed with Cargill German Pilsner malt and a touch of Gambrinus Honey Malt.

Brewer Dan Ashley collaborated on this recipe with Don Webb, co-owner of and brewer at Naked City Taphouse and Brewery in Greenwood, continuing our tradition of inviting guest brewers to work with us to create something special for our anniversary celebration.

The beer, hopped with Saaz, fermented with lager yeast procured from Georgetown Brewing Co. and will make its debut at the West Seattle Summerfest in mid-July.

They also have a version on tap that we infused with fresh basil. Come on out to West Seattle and try it!

Can't make it out to West Seattle? We have both versions of the beer currently on tap at Naked City as well. :mug:

The beer came out great, with a whopping 8.2% abv, subtle tangerine notes in the nose and a nice spicy hop finish. Dry hopped twice with Saaz. Mmmmmmm!

Sign on the back bar at Elliott Bay Brewing...pretty cool!

this beer was GREAT! I'd like to keep a few bottles of in case of emergency.

Loved the spicy notes of the hops and the big malt presence. maybe a bit too quaffable at 8.2!:D

The basil version was excellent too, incredibly fresh tasting!
