Hi there !
I'm going to brew a One-Gallon-Batch with DME .
I calculated the amount of Malt needed for this Batch and
I'd like to know if I'm doing RIGHT .
p.p.g. of the Malt = 40
O.G. = 1.050
Evaporation Rate = 0.3 Gallon / Hour
Total Points = 50 X 1 = 50
The amount of Malt = 50 / 40 = 1.25 pounds
As I start with 1.3 Gallons of water , therefore
50 / 1.3 = 38.5
So , the Gravity would be 1.038 at the beginning and after 1 Hour boiling , I'll have
One Gallon Wort which has the Gravity 1.050 .
Is that all Correct ?!
